Getting Started
How do I download Animal Kingdom?

Search for "Animal Kingdom Kids Learning" on the Google Play Store, or tap the Get it on Google Play button on our home page. The app is free to download.

What devices does the app support?

Animal Kingdom requires Android 7.0 (API level 24) or higher. It runs on phones and tablets. Portrait orientation only.

Does the app need an internet connection?

No. All animal sounds, games, and content work 100% offline. An internet connection is only used when loading advertisements.

Is the app free?

Yes, Animal Kingdom is completely free to download and play. The app contains non-personalized advertisements served by Google AdMob. There are no in-app purchases.

Gameplay & Features
How do I unlock all habitats?

All seven habitats are available from the start - Farm, Safari, Ocean, Forest, Pets, Rainforest, and Arctic. Simply tap a habitat on the Explore screen to enter it.

How do I collect all stickers?

Visit an animal's detail page (tap any animal card in a habitat) and tap the Collect Sticker button to add it to your sticker book. There are 50+ stickers to collect - one per animal.

What are milestone badges?

Milestone badges are special rewards earned as you progress:

  • Meet your first animal
  • Explore 5 different animals
  • Explore every habitat
  • Play 10 animal sounds
  • Get a perfect score on a quiz
  • Collect half the sticker book
  • Complete the full sticker book
  • Play 3 days in a row (streak)
  • Play 7 days in a row (streak)
How does the daily streak work?

Each day you open the app and explore or play, your streak increases by 1. If you miss a day, the streak resets to 1. Your personal best streak is always saved. A streak badge is shown on the home screen when your streak reaches 2 days or more.

How do I change the difficulty of the quiz?

Open Settings (tap the gear icon in the bottom navigation). Solve the grown-up math puzzle to access settings. You can select Easy, Medium, or Hard difficulty. Hard mode gives you fewer hints and a larger pool of possible answers.

What is Night Mode?

Night Mode darkens the app's colors for comfortable bedtime play. Turn it on in Settings. The app also automatically respects your device's system dark mode setting.

For Parents
How do I access the parent settings?

Tap the gear icon in the bottom navigation bar. You will be shown a simple arithmetic puzzle (e.g. "What is 7 + 4?"). Solve it correctly to enter Settings. The answer is intentionally too hard for young children. Once solved, the gate is bypassed for 5 minutes so you can make multiple changes without re-entering.

How do I turn off or limit the ads?

Ads are served by Google AdMob in child-directed mode (non-personalized, G-rated only). You cannot disable ads within the app. To reduce ad exposure:

  • Use the app without an internet connection - ads will not load
  • On Android, go to Settings โ†’ Google โ†’ Ads and enable Opt out of Ads Personalization
Is my child's data safe?

Yes. Animal Kingdom does not collect any personal information from your child. All progress (stickers, scores, settings) is stored locally on your device only and never sent anywhere. Please read our full Privacy Policy for complete details.

How do I reset my child's progress?

Go to Android Settings โ†’ Apps โ†’ Animal Kingdom โ†’ Storage โ†’ Clear Data. This removes all local progress, stickers, and scores. The app will start fresh on next launch. Note: this cannot be undone.

Can multiple children use the same device?

The app stores a single set of progress per Android user account. If multiple children share a device under the same Android account, they will share one sticker book and streak. Android's built-in "Multiple Users" or "Restricted Profile" features can be used to separate data between children.

Technical Issues
Animal sounds are not playing. What should I do?

Try these steps:

  • Make sure your device volume is turned up
  • Check that the app is not muted in Settings (gear icon)
  • If using Bluetooth headphones, try playing with the device speaker first
  • Force-stop the app (Android Settings โ†’ Apps โ†’ Animal Kingdom โ†’ Force Stop) and reopen it
  • If the issue persists, uninstall and reinstall the app
The app is running slowly or crashing.

Animal Kingdom is designed to run well on most Android 7+ devices. If you experience slowness:

  • Close other apps running in the background
  • Restart your device
  • Make sure Android and the app are up to date
  • If on an older/low-RAM device, close the app and reopen it between long play sessions

If the app keeps crashing, please contact us with your device model and Android version.

My child's progress was lost after an update.

Progress is stored in local app storage and should survive updates. However, if you uninstalled and reinstalled the app, or cleared app data, progress cannot be recovered. We recommend checking Android backup settings - if Google Drive backup is enabled, some app data may be backed up automatically.
